Carrie Sesterhenn
Carrie's journey with Traditional Chinese Medicine began like many of her patients'; She had been experiencing some health issues that she had either 1) learned to live with or 2) just weren't responding to common treatments. At the suggestion of a colleague, she made an appointment with an acupuncturist because, as she and some of her patients have said, "I've tried everything else, what do I have to lose?""
The answer very quickly became a holistic solution for her gynecological issues, digestive distress, and debilitating foot pain, and a brand new career path! The manner in which this medicine treats every patient like a complete human being with individual thoughts, experiences, and feelings helped her to feel incredibly seen, heard, and cared for. That really resonated with her, and she wanted to provide the same holistic care for others.
As a result of her own experiences, Carrie finds great satisfaction in treating all types of pain, digestive issues, and women's health. She also treats headaches, allergies, stress, and anxiety and is also certified in cosmetic acupuncture for natural complexion treatments.
Carrie loves her job and can't imagine doing anything else (until she retires at 95 in a Golden Girls - esque situation some girlfriends and a yet to be determined number of cats, that is)."
