Moon Rabbit: West Loop
At our West Loop location, care is personal, intentional, and shaped by the rhythm of a neighborhood that’s always in motion. As our original space, this is where our approach first took form—blending the wisdom of Chinese medicine with modern wellness to support balance, resilience, and feeling better in your body over time.

Be Refreshed. Be Restored.
Located in the heart of the West Loop, our original wellness location is surrounded by the creativity, culture, and momentum that define one of Chicago’s most dynamic neighborhoods. Situated directly on Madison Street, this inviting space reflects the area’s blend of historic character and modern design, offering a calm counterpoint to the vibrant energy outside. Here, we provide acupuncture, massage, Chinese medicine, and functional medicine services focused on whole-person wellness and lasting health.
As our very first location, the West Loop holds a special place in our story. This thoughtfully designed retreat offers a place to reset, recharge, and feel grounded.

How do I prepare for my appointment?
The duration of your session will depend on what you are coming in for. Most acupuncture sessions last between 30 minutes and 1 hour, and most massage offerings are either 30, 60, or 90 minutes.
How long is a session?
Acupuncture involves the insertion of very thin needles (30 times thinner than the traditional needle you experience at your physician’s office) at strategic points on the body. Most people believe that acupuncture only treats pain, however it has a myriad of other uses including overall wellness and stress management.
From an eastern perspective, acupuncture is a technique for balancing the flow of qi (pronounced chee), or energy, which flows through meridians in your body. By inserting needles into specific points along these meridians, acupuncture re-establishes balance for overall health and wellbeing.
Alternatively, the Western biomedical perspective is that acupuncture stimulates nerves, muscles, and fascia (connective tissue). From a biochemical perspective, findings from basic medical research have demonstrated that acupuncture stimulation causes a release of endorphins, serotonin, enkephalins, and γ-amino-butyric acid (GABA; a major inhibitory neurotransmitter of the brain), norepinephrine, and dopamine
What is acupuncture?
