Ear Seeding
Ear seeds, also known as ear beads, are often used to enhance treatment and help prolong relief. Made with 24-karat gold beads and optional Swarovski crystal accents, they are placed on specific acupuncture points on the ear, where they gently stimulate the skin to support conditions throughout the body. Discreet and versatile, ear seeds can provide benefits lasting from several hours to several days—a fun and functional way to take your Zen with you wherever you go.
The Benefits
Ear seeding provides ongoing support between treatments through continual stimulation of acupuncture points on the ear. Patients often experience both immediate relief and lasting improvements as the body’s systems respond more efficiently to stress, pain, and internal imbalances.
Sleep Support
Often used to encourage relaxation, ear seeding can support more restful and consistent sleep patterns.
Emotional Balance
Gentle stimulation of acupuncture points on the ear with ear seeds can help support mood regulation and emotional steadiness over time.
Digestive Support
Ear seeding may help promote digestive comfort by supporting related reflex points.
Hormonal Support
Specific ear points are commonly used to support hormone regulation and reproductive health.
Stress Relief
By stimulating calming points on the ear, ear seeding can help support nervous system regulation and relaxation.
Ongoing Support
Ear seeds provide gentle, continuous stimulation between visits, helping extend the benefits of care into daily life.
Your first visit begins with a thorough, one-on-one conversation about your health history, lifestyle, and current priorities. We take a broader view beyond individual symptoms to explore patterns in sleep, digestion, stress, pain, energy, and more, and how these systems influence one another.
This in-depth intake helps us build a care plan that feels thoughtful, personalized, and specifically aligned with your needs.
Initial Appointment
Small, adhesive seeds placed on targeted points on the ear help influence the nervous system and promote whole-body balance. These points are selected based on your current needs, offering gentle stimulation that continues working between sessions. Ear seeds stay in place for several days, and are often paired with acupuncture or wellness care as a simple, non-invasive way to support stress regulation, pain relief, emotional grounding, and ongoing healing throughout the week.
Treatment
Ear seeding provides subtle, continuous point stimulation designed to complement acupuncture and wellness care. Each placement is customized, using targeted ear points that correspond to stress, pain, digestion, sleep, or emotional balance. Seeds remain in place for several days, offering ongoing support outside of the treatment room. Clients are advised to keep the area dry, avoid picking at the seeds, and remove them early if irritation occurs. Ear seeding can be incorporated regularly as part of an evolving plan for long-term balance and nervous system support.

Traditional Tools, Modern Comfort
From your first visit through ongoing treatment, care is collaborative, calm, and tailored to you. We take the time to understand what’s happening in your body and adjust treatment as your needs evolve.

The Science Behind Ear Seeding
Ear seeds gently stimulate specific acupuncture points on the ear that correspond to systems throughout the body. This ongoing pressure influences nervous system pathways involved in pain regulation, stress response, and overall balance, helping extend the effects of in-office treatments.
By providing continuous, low-level stimulation over several hours to days, ear seeds help reinforce therapeutic signals between the ear and the brain. This sustained input supports symptom relief, encourages self-regulation, and allows the body to continue responding even after your session ends.
Ear seeds support relaxation and emotional balance while remaining subtle and easy to wear. Made with 24 karat gold beads and optional Swarovski crystal accents, they offer a comfortable, non-intrusive way to maintain therapeutic benefits and carry a sense of calm and intention into daily life.

Frequently Asked Questions
Ear seeds typically remain in place for 3–7 days. During this time, you may gently press the seeds 1–3 times daily. Though pressing then is not necessary for them to work. After the seeds fall off or are removed, new ones can be applied as needed either by using your Moon Rabbit ear seed kit or by one of our practitioners.
How often should you do ear seeds?
Activation involves gently pressing or massaging the seeds for 1–2 minutes several times a day. This stimulates the point, enhancing the therapeutic effect. Avoid pressing too hard, and discontinue if you experience pain or irritation.
How to activate ear seeds?
Yes, our Moon Rabbit ear seeding kits come with a how-to guide to help you understand exactly where to place your ear seeds to help with various conditions including stress, digestion, pain, and overall well-being.
Can you do ear seeds at home?
Many people report positive results from ear seeding, such as reduced anxiety, improved sleep, and decreased cravings or pain. While scientific evidence is growing, ear seeding is generally considered a safe, non-invasive complementary therapy that supports the body’s natural healing processes.
Does ear seeding actually work?
Ear seeding, also known as auricular therapy, is a technique in traditional Chinese medicine where small seeds, beads, or magnets are placed on specific points of the ear to stimulate the body’s energy pathways. These points correspond to different organs or systems in the body and can help balance energy, reduce stress, and support overall health. At Moon Rabbit, we use 24K gold and Swarovski crystal ear seeds to not only have you feeling great, but looking great too.
