Jia LI
Jia is a second-generation licensed acupuncturist originally from Shanghai, China. Her early experiences with traditional Chinese medicine has cemented her interest in medical arts and sciences. After moving to the U.S, she obtained a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Connecticut with a double major in Physiology-Neurobiology and Molecular biology. Her devotion to holistic health and wellness led her to complete a Master’s degree of Acupuncture at the Pacific College of Health Sciences, New York/Chicago.
While pursuing her studies, she apprenticed under her mother, Dr. Hua Xie, who is a licensed acupuncturist and M.D from china with more than 40 years of clinical experience. Jia was able to gain valuable exposure in treating a broad spectrum of ailments including acute and chronic pain, psychological/emotional disorders, autoimmune disorders, gynecological disorders, etc.
She has completed continued education including training in infertility treatments with Chinese medicine, Orthopedic Acupuncture, Cosmetic & Facial Acupuncture, and Scalp Acupuncture.
Additionally, Jia is a Gyrotonic and Pilates instructor who specializes in training individuals with Scoliosis, hypermobility, and Osteoporosis. She has a studio in Streeterville, Chicago. She is on an on-going, and never ending, journey to learn and practice various modalities to assist in her clients’ healing and well-being.
